Through All Creation

By Channin Daugherty of Portola Valley, California USA

There are subtle, yet powerful, influences in the world, some even claiming to represent Christ, that seek to divide people and nations to accomplish their destructive aims. That which seeks to harden one hu-man heart against another by constructing walls of fear and prejudice is not of God. Be especially alert to these influences, lest they divide you or divert you from the mission to which you are called.

Doctrine and Covenants 163:3c

I hear the ever-present “hum” of the Divine.

In the flutter of leaves as they move in the wind
With the squirrel as she buries acorns in the soil
In the grass as it turns from green to brown
In the laughter of a child
In the gaze of one with wisdom of years
In the tears that fall
In the birds as they flyd
With the grey whales as they jump and spout
In the smell of the dark soil of earth as it falls from my hand
In the hand of one holding the hand of another
In the eyes of a stranger

This is the song with no tune. This is the song of the Divine moving through all creation.

We are connected
We are and the Divine is.

Prayer Phrase

“And all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).

Abundant Blessings

At the close of the day, reflect on where you noticed God’s blessings, especially in unexpected places. Offer a prayer of thanks and try to release any worry, trusting that God’s abundance will meet you again tomorrow.
