In today’s rapidly changing world, ministry and mission require fresh approaches, bold ideas, and deep formation. The Center for Innovation in Ministry and Mission (CIMM), a collaborative partnership between Graceland University, Community of Christ, and others, is dedicated to equipping disciples and leaders for just that challenge.
A Collaborative Hub for Theological Growth
Housed within Graceland University’s Community of Christ Seminary, CIMM offers non-credit continuing education units (CEUs) designed to empower adults in theological education, ministerial training, and leadership development. These CEUs provide practical, accessible learning opportunities—without the pressure of pursuing a degree.
Making Ministry and Mission Tangible
CIMM’s programs focus on foundational skills and knowledge, including:
- Critical scriptural understanding through responsible interpretation and exegesis
- Theological competence and development of basic theological positions
- Familiarity with the Community of Christ tradition, including Identity, Mission, Message, and Beliefs (IMMB)
- Awareness of broader Christian history, ecumenical perspectives, and denominational contexts
- Integration of learning into participants’ unique ministry contexts
- Exposure to spiritual formation, discipleship practices, and ministry development
Preparing Radical Practitioners
CIMM’s vision is to inspire and empower leaders who live out the mission of Jesus Christ with courage and creativity. Whether you’re deepening your priesthood skills or exploring new ways to lead your community, CIMM provides a supportive and innovative environment to grow.
